Speaking only in rhymes or haikus, never using a single word when a couple dozen will baffle and confuse, and answering questions only with additional questions, she irritates nearly everyone past their breaking point.
Tragically, she's just so shy that's her way of indirectly flirting - those who bother to solve that riddle get into her treasure box, and learn that sphinxes really are naturally hairless in certain areas.
