Oh, poor Neko Alice, forever tumbling from one extraordinary misadventure to the next! First she slipped down that most impolite rabbit hole and into Wonderland’s swirling curiosities—only to be promptly swallowed whole by the Doormouse (a matter he insists was purely accidental) and deposited into the dreadsome realm of Niflheim.

And what a place it is!
Dark, dour, and altogether disagreeable, filled with creatures of such unsociable appetite that Neko Alice must mind her every step lest some gloomy beast decide she looks rather too delightful for comfort.

Thankfully, she carries with her a small pouch of Wonderland’s cherished size-altering sweets—magical confections capable of making her grow tall as a tower or small as a sugar cube. Unfortunately, she has only a handful left, scarcely enough for her own peckishness, and certainly not enough to satisfy the Red Queen Empusa, who has somehow convinced herself Alice stole thirty, fifty, or perhaps a thousand more.

“Why ever would I?” Neko Alice wonders aloud. “I’ve only taken what a girl requires for her travels. Not a crumb more!”

Certain that a nonsensical misunderstanding is afoot, she sets her paws upon the perilous paths of Niflheim, searching tirelessly for a portal back to Wonderland. All the while she must dodge monsters, mysteries, and a rather inconvenient parade of Wonderlandians who have taken it upon themselves to chase her across worlds.

Oh, how she longs for home!
To be curled beneath a sun-dappled tree with her beloved Dinah, giving the dear kitten all the chin-scratches she desires. To rest her weary head while Mother tells another fantastic story full of impossible creatures and improbable endings.

If only Neko Alice could find her way back…
But in Wonderland—and in Niflheim too—one never knows what curious adventure waits just beyond the next corner.
